Sadly this product is a mixed bag of positive and negative points. The biggest negative is the power adapter and the cable is quite positive. On a positive note I do like the flat cable as it comes with a small few cable clips so it can be tacked to a skirting board or other wooden surface. The cable is of reasonably good quality and will charge devices well. On a negative note, the power adapter is a little on the cheap side and only has a maximum rating of 5w. I think I can hear you gasping as you read the mention of 5w. It is true, the rating is only 5w when we are charging devices through adapters that deliver 20w, 40.... even 100w so a 5w adapter today is so slow it became obsolete before it left the factory This is one of those products that I simply can't decide wether it is recommendable or not as it really is a mixed bag so I personally don't think it is of good value due to the low wattage of the adapter but you might just want such low wattage so it really is down to the buyer deciding but I would advise that you do shop around first as there are better quality cables with more powerful adapters on the market and they are in the same price range.

This could leave any device requiring this sort of current very short of power and may not even operate, however, this would be the extreme. Also included in the box with this cable are 10 white cable clips, making cable management easier and more organized. Overall, the USB-A to Micro USB power cable is a good product for anyone looking for a reliable, durable, and long-lasting replacement for their outdoor camera's short cable.

The media could not be loaded. As usual, the package arrived very quickly from Amazon. This VIEWZONE 6m Flat Cable and Power Charger Adapter to Power Security Cameras arrived in a cardboard box, in the box is the 6 metre Cable, a 5V 1A Charger/Power Supply, and 150 Cable Clips. I ordered this power charger and cable as I had to run an extension cable across a room and under a door (which I couldn’t then close properly), and place the extension socket on the floor, this was so I would be able to plug the cable from the camera into the extension is which is up near my ceiling in the hallway which looked awful, so when I saw this 6 metre flat cable I ordered it, this was after asking the seller if this would work with any IP camera with Micro USB socket and a 5V 1 A input, and he said yes. This has made such a difference, I have now run the cable straight down from the socket to underneath the carpet, along the floor and underneath the door, up along the architrave to the camera, you cannot see it under the carpet as it is so flat that is doesn’t make a bump, the door now closes properly, and you wouldn’t notice it against the architrave if you didn’t know it was there. I am really happy with this cable and charger, and I have no problems in recommending it. I could go through everything that’s in the listing description but I’m sure you have already read it before reading my review, so I won’t repeat it; you can see the unboxing in my video. At the time of writing this review the price is £14.99 but at the moment there is a 5% discount voucher bringing the price down to £14.24, which I think is a reasonable price. The squares on the table I use when photographing and videoing items are 1cm squares, you can use them to help you judge the size of items I photograph.
